I was deeply stirred by the loftiness of these fierce looking riders.

Now that I’m at home I have lots of ideas how to justify these even better.
Too bad Budapest is a days car ride away. But there’s more then one reason to visit this amazing town again.

Budapest, building ensemble

… I’d like to show you this ensemble of buildings in the park right behind Millenium Monument.
In fact for first time visitors this city has a tremendous amount if interestnig buildings and places.

But I truely like it for it’s uglyness. Jammed between the old Inner City Parish Church and the concrete ramp of Elisabeth Bridge there is even left a small strip of clear sky. The large stains on the floor are not from water and you may call yourselves lucky it’s yet not possible to capture smells.

 

Room with a view

Someone has chosen the Halászbástya, Budapest for accomodation.

Since during the day and even at night this place (which would translate as “Fishermans Bastion”) gets very crowded by tourists, it seems the residents have chosen to come here only for sleep.

Finally the day of days and also National Day in Hungary.

More then 1 Million people in the streets. Next time also I’ll have to find a way to capture the sond of the machines.
